Name that Necklace!

I need some help naming this brand new necklace that I designed!
Now if you are familier with my jewelry, you know that I name all my bracelets and necklaces after songs, so I am looking for a suitable song name for this piece. Actually it is two seperate necklaces,

which can be worn on their own or........

...together for a real statement!

Both necklaces are made entirely from sterling silver, rutilated quartz, Swarovski glass pearls and crystals, and one huge fabulous rare vintage Swarovski faceted crystal, that is the focal bead inside the silver crescent shaped frame.

So here are the rules:

1. Enter as often as you like with your suggestions by leaving me a comment.

2.Your suggestion must be a song title.

3. Contest closes Jan.31 at midnight MST.

So what do you get for your efforts??? I will select my favourite song title from all of the entries, and the winner will receive these wonderful Hot Rocks earrings! These are made from some lovely vintage (never before used) sapphire Swarovski crystals, sterling silver beads and small Swarovski crystals, all on sterling silver lever back ear wires.

Shipping is FREE of course. For the second place winner, I will run a feature post of you here on my blog, during the month of March. ( Giving you a little more exposure and promotion for Spring time!) I look forward to your suggestions, so let the games begin!!!

Ooooo!!!! A comp.!! Lovely necklace I will get my thinking hat on and be back (is it ok for me to enter from here in UK?)

I love those necklaces! You did a beautiful job!!

I know this is a real oldie, but how about "MoonGlow" by Benny Goodman?

It has a nice haunting melody to it. If you haven't heard it, try to find it online somewhere and listen to it before you dismiss it. :)

Thanks...
Take Care,
Kat

I'm back, how about 'Because the Night' by Patti Smith Group. Not sure if you've already used it!!!

Hot Rocks said...

Renate...great suggestion!

ChatElaine..of course you can enter from the UK!!! Excellent song choice!

Kat..no I am not familiar with"Moonglow" but I will definitely go on a hunt to listen for it today. Thank you for your suggestion.

Keep them coming...looks like we have a bit of a moon theme going on here...but all suggestions are welcome!

The first title that came to mind was "Arabian Nights" by Sarah Brightman. In that song she references "Scimitar Moon". Scimitar is a middle eastern curved sword, looking like a crescent moon.

Love your jewelry. Very unique.

Hot Rocks said...

Thankyou Kindershop! That is a very interesting title, I have not heard the song, but I will try and search it out. The explanation of Scimitar moon is super!

Laura said...

The first one that popped into my head is

By the Light of the Silvery Moon

Can't you just hear Doris Day singing it right now? LOL! Thanks for the giveaway!

What about "True Blue" by Madonna?

I really love this necklace collaboration. I love how its 2 in 1.

My suggestion for a song title for this item would be "Sister Moon" by Sting. If you have a chance to listen to the song I think you'll find it fitting for such a great piece.

Thanks for a generous giveaway! If you choose my song choice please email me and let me know, i'll be so thrilled :)

I know this doesn't reflect the materials, but "Leather & Lace"...is it Stevie Nicks and someone from the Eagles???

RockerJewlz said...

'Starry starry night" by Don McLean...listen to this first line:

"Starry starry night, paint your palette blue and gray"...

just like the necklace components!

BandaiBlossom said...

Dancing in the Moonlight (various artists)... Moon River (various artists)... One More Night, In The Air Tonight, I Wish it Would Rain Down, Do You Remember, Something Happened on the Way to Heaven, Dance into the Light - all by Phil Collins... Heaven Is, Breathe a Sigh - Def Leppard...

You're most likely not going to like any of these, (hopefully you will! ^_^) but you get some new additions to your playlist. (Yay!)

(Various artists just means "so many people have covered it that no-one knows which is which anymore".)
