This week was off to a super start, when I found out that I was one of two winners in Sweetwaters' bead giveaway! I never win anything, so this was a wonderful surprise, and I am so lucky to be the recipient of her lovely creations! Thank you Sweetwater! The week continued to get better when yesterday, I sold the Arabian Nights necklace, that I had just recently listed in my Etsy store after it had been the feature of my "Name that Necklace" contest over the past 2 weeks.
On another topic, tomorrow is my youngest childs' eleventh birthday. I thought I would share an interesting story that occured when I was about 4 and 1/2 months pregnant. At the time, my husband was heading off on a geology field trip with his company, to South Carolina for a week. I was staying behind, as I had a full time job and responsibilities at home. Before he left, I mentioned to him that I was going to read the baby name books, that we had recently purchased, and try to come up with some names for the baby. We had chosen not to know the sex of our child, as we wanted it to be a surprise. Therefore, both girl and boy names had to be considered. While he was gone I spent some time going through the books, and found one interesting name for a girl that I really thought was pretty, and a bit unusual, and sounded nice with our surname. I circled the name in the book, and bent down the corner of the page for future reference. I still was having a hard time coming up with a boys name.
At the end of the week, my husband returned home from his trip, and I mentioned to him that I had found a girls' name that I really liked. He said "Great, I have one too, that I thought of when I was away!" I asked him what his name was and he replied,"Savannah". I almost fell out of my chair! As I reached for the baby name book, I opened the marked page and pointed to the name that I had circled....Savannah!!! So weird! Even weirder....we ended up having a boy...and no his name is not Savannah. I have another strange but true story about another birth, but that will have to wait till anothe time!
