The Beyond Artisan Marketplace was a success! I had a super weekend, sold a lot of jewelery, met some wonderful new customers, and was thrilled to see returning customers as well. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some wonderful artisans, and we had a lot of fun chatting and getting to know each other, in between clients. This year I have changed my booth design to reflect the vintage styles of the jewelry that I am creating. I went for a look that recreated a womans dressing table, circa 1950's, and was pleased with the results.
You only have a few seconds to grab peoples attention, as they saunter past your table, so you have to stand out amongst the competition! Jewelry is always a tough category, as there is usually a fair amount of jewelry artists at these shows and they all have beautiful merchandise. Here I am, next to my table, you can see how everything looks from both directions.
I am exhausted, and my feet are sore, and I have a lot of catching up to do on my poor neglected house....housework, laundry, etc. etc. I have a few custom orders on my plate, and a couple of interesting projects in the works, that I will fill you in on later! I also want to spend time this week getting caught up with all my blogging friends, and see what everyone has been up to over the last couple of weeks....I am so behind on that! I have less than three weeks, before my next big show...whew!

Warm Metal Autumn Bracelets
These two bracelets were inspired by Autumn. The warm colors of copper and brass always remind me of Fall, when those colors are always so prevalent in nature, so I decided to create a couple of pieces that would reflect that beautiful season.

Busy Bee
I am sorry that my blog posts have been lacking lately. I have two big shows quickly approaching, that I am madly preparing for. All of that preparation is taking up a good portion of my time right now, so blogging and catching up on my blog reading has taken a bit of a back seat. As well, we are taking a quick break out to the coast, for the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, so I am also busy getting ready to take off for a few days and relax before the mayhem of the season really gets going! I have this "thing", where when I go away for a vacation, I have to have my house clean before I leave! I just feel a lot better leaving a clean home, ....and coming back to one as well. Gosh...so weird... I know! So I am busy with housework, designing jewelry, tagging and pricing the jewelry, finalizing my booth display, etc. etc. On top of that I am still fitting in my daily workouts, five times a week.( I have managed to lose 30 pounds since January!) Whew! It's a lot to cram into a day. I do hope to post some more photos of my latest designs in the next few days, but I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Canada, a very happy Thanksgiving weekend!
